Hello, my name is Taichi K. Watanabe. I’m currently (2025 Aug.) a first-year PhD student at The Graduate University for Advanced Studies, SOKENDAI, Astronomical Science Program and Divison of Science (DoS) in National Observatiory of Japan (NAOJ).

こんにちは、渡邊K.太一です。私は(2025年8月)現在、総研大天文と国立天文台(NAOJ)の科学研究部(DoS)に所属している大学院生(M1)です。

I’m working on the dust coagulation and fragmentation simulations in protoplanetary disks to understand the ultimate question of “How do planets form?”. Specifically,

• Development of the new dust coagulation and fragmentation calculation scheme
• Modelling of planet formation based on simulations
• Application to observations (maybe in future).

惑星はどのようにできるのか、という大きな疑問に立ち向かうため、私は原始惑星系円盤内のダストの合体成長と衝突破壊のシミュレーションの研究をしています。具体的には下記を行なっています。

• ダストの合体成長と衝突破壊の新しい数値的手法の開発
• シミュレーションに基づいた惑星形成のモデリング
• 観測への応用(将来的には)
